Trish Keenan 1969-2011

Very sad to hear of the death of Trish Keenan on January 14th. A great loss.

Sister Rosetta Tharpe

This will only be online until the 24th of January, and for those of you who are not in the UK you'll need to do that proxy-thingy in order to watch it, but this BBC documentary on pioneering guitarist and singer Sister Rosetta Tharpe is well worth seeing.

The Godmother of Rock & Roll

Also I love her vibe in this photo, taken at a concert at a disused train station near Manchester and filmed for ITV - matching a white swing coat and stilettos to a white SG, and a white Telecaster ready to go in the background.
